Infrastructure NSW recognised for our contribution to emergency communication
Infrastructure NSW (INSW) has been acknowledged for our innovative partnership approach to build community awareness and preparedness in the most flood exposed area of NSW – the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley.
Last week’s Annual Emergency Media and Public Affairs Awards was held via live webcast to recognise excellence in emergency communication.
INSW, in collaboration with the NSW State Emergency Service (SES) received a ‘highly commended’ award for the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley Community Resilience Program.
The conference attracts a range of high profile, competitive entries and this award was a well-earned recognition for the industry-leading work the Hawkesbury-Nepean Valley directorate team within INSW has implemented in partnership across the valley since 2017.
The event unites industry experts to share frameworks and lessons learned – to stimulate thinking, encourage conversation and create change. This year’s program featured notable presenters, including Shane Fitzsimmons (Commissioner, Resilience NSW), Clare Parker (Head of Communications, Forest Research UK) and The Hon. Lianne Dalziel (Mayor of Christchurch), to name a few.
