Expressions of Interest invited to transform Sydney’s Blackwattle Bay
Sydney’s Blackwattle Bay has taken a major step forward, with Expressions of Interest (EOI) now open to renew the site currently home to the Sydney Fish Market.
The NSW Government is seeking a development partner to deliver a once-in-a-generation waterfront renewal project in Sydney’s Blackwattle Bay.
The redevelopment will seek to increase the percentage of residential housing on site to help address the states housing crisis.
In addition to creating new homes, the precinct will also deliver high quality public places including parks, cultural spaces, and a continuous foreshore promenade that will be delivered in the first stage of development.
This project forms part of a broader urban renewal of Blackwattle Bay, a 10-hectare precinct bookended by the new Sydney Fish Market and the new Bank Street Park under the Anzac Bridge.
The EOI is now open, with submissions closing on 19 August 2024.
