Local businesses building the new Sydney Fish Market
The NSW Government has announced over $300 million of contracts has been awarded to NSW based businesses on the new Sydney Fish Market project so far.
Construction of the project is supporting over 700 jobs on site. The NSW Government, and its delivery partner Multiplex, have made it a priority to award contracts to local businesses. And the local spend will rise significantly as the project continues.
Over 34,000 cubic metres of concrete will be poured on the project. Large basement pours, which will be surrounded by the waters of Blackwattle Bay are currently underway. Some key local suppliers joined the Minister for Lands and Property on site on Friday 30 June, to celebrate the significant progress made on the project.
