Renewable diesel powers construction
Powerhouse Parramatta and the New Sydney Fish Market have become two of the first construction projects in Australia to use 100% renewable diesel in their tower cranes, enabling fossil free construction.
As the design and construction partner for Powerhouse Parramatta , Lendlease is using renewable diesel to power tower cranes on site, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from crane operations by up to 90% over the life cycle of the fuel compared to fossil diesel.
The Australian-first sustainability initiative is thanks to a partnership between Lendlease, Multiplex, Marr Contracting, Refuelling Solutions and the NSW Government, and is a significant step towards decarbonising the construction.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
