The Cutaway Transformation: A New Cultural Landmark Takes Shape

A transformative fit-out is turning the Cutaway at Barangaroo into Sydney's premier cultural destination, enhancing the city's cultural landscape with versatile event spaces that will attract locals and international visitors.

Works are progressing smoothly with several milestones recently achieved.

From the construction zone, here are some exciting highlights:

  • The striking façade at the Nawi Cove entry is beginning to take shape.
  • The Event Hall is now fully watertight, with skylight installation and glazing complete.
  • Tasmanian oak column bases have been installed, ready to support the installation of the decorative ‘trees’.
  • The curved pre-function walls are taking form.
  • The curved staircase has been freshly painted, and the flooring in the pre-function area is now finished.
