In an Australian first, the new Sydney Fish Market has joined Powerhouse Paramatta in being two of the first construction projects to use 100% renewable diesel in their tower cranes, enabling fossil free construction.
As the delivery partner, Multiplex is using renewable diesel to power tower cranes on site, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from crane operations by up to 90% over the life cycle of the fuel compared to fossil diesel.
The Australian-first sustainability initiative is thanks to a partnership between Lendlease, Multiplex, Marr Contracting, Refuelling Solutions and the NSW Government, and is a significant step towards decarbonising the construction.
Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.
