NSW Data Centre Consultation Paper
The NSW Government is working to attract data centre investment to drive economic growth, support job creation and innovation, and strengthen access to reliable digital services for communities across NSW.
Data centres are critical infrastructure that support the digital services people and businesses rely on every day, including financial systems and government services. New South Wales is well positioned to attract data centre investment due to its strategic location, reliable infrastructure and financial stability. It continues to be a leading destination for data centre development in the Asia-Pacific region.
The NSW Data Centre Consultation Paper sets out a principles-based approach to engage with industry on the opportunities and challenges of data centre investment growth. It is designed to facilitate a conversation around sustainable and equitable investment in data centres to deliver broader economic benefits for NSW.
