WIN Precinct

The WIN Sports and Entertainment Precinct (WIN Precinct) will transform the Wollongong foreshore into a modern, connected and vibrant destination for sport, entertainment and community use.

WIN Precinct

Set within a unique coastal location, the WIN Precinct plays a key role in the Illawarra region and attracts visitors from Sydney and beyond. It has a strong history of hosting major sporting and entertainment events, while supporting everyday community use.

Funding for the project was announced by the NSW Government in January 2026. The project is progressing into the next phase of planning and procurement.

About the project

The project will redevelop and better connect the existing WIN Stadium, WIN Entertainment Centre, southern training field and surrounding precinct. It will create a world-class venue for major events and deliver lasting benefits for the Illawarra community.

As the current facilities near the end of their life, the precinct faces growing operational and commercial challenges. This NSW Government investment will modernise the site to better serve the community, attract more events and strengthen the region’s liveability and visitor economy. Infrastructure NSW is leading the WIN Precinct’s design and delivery in partnership with Venues NSW.
